Gloria joined Holby A&E before the beginning of series 11. She was a capable nurse and trained other members of staff to deal with bereaved patients.
She started a relationship with Richard McCaig and they went on holiday together after Christmas. Gloria found out about Richard's MS and was sympathetic, but Richard didn't want pity. She started being protective of him, and Richard hated that. They finished their relationship at the end of the series, and Gloria left between series 11 and 12.
