Helen Green replaced Julie Stevens as receptionist at the start of series 5. Unlike her predecessor, Helen was not easily charmed by Jack-the-lad porter Jimmy Powell. He would often joke about Helen's brusk manner. She was good at her job, got on fine with patients and staff but perhaps was too ordinary. Helen is very much the forgotten face of Holby. The writers didn't seem to want to expand the character very much and didn't really show much of an insight into Helen's private life. She left at the end of series 5 and was replaced by Norma Sullivan. 'Come back Helen, all is forgiven' the patients cried.
