Helen joined Holby A&E as student nurse in series 8. Her eagerness to learn often amused older nurses. She knew the textbooks but could not cope with real emergencies. Adele Beckford had to put up with Helen's endless questions but when Helen was upset and thought she couldn't cope, she was kind to Helen. Helen left Holby A&E partway through series 8, when she had finished her time there.
