Internet Explorer
Go to Tools -> Internet Options and click on the Security tab. Select "Custom Level..." and scroll down until you see "Java permissions". Select either High, Low or Medium safety (ie. ensure you are not disabling Java), and click OK, answering "Yes" if you are asked if you are sure, then click OK again. Go back to the Quiz window and hit "Refresh".
If this does not work, try downloading the latest version of the Microsoft VM. Go here and fill out the "Search for a Download" form at the bottom of the page, choosing Virtual Machine as the product and whatever Operating System you have on your computer (whether it be Windows 95/98, Windows 2000, XP, etc) and click "Find Now". Further down the page a link will appear for Microsoft Virtual Machine. Click this link to start the download. Simply follow the rest of the instructions for the download to get Microsoft's Java Virtual Machine.
If this still fails, you may need to update your version of Internet Explorer, which can be done by following the above instructions but searching for a version of Internet Explorer (instead of Virtual Machine) - try Internet Explorer 5.5 or above.
Netscape
NB: In versions earlier than Netscape 6, you may have to restart your browser to load up a new quiz.
Go to Edit -> Preferences and click on "Advanced" in the left-hand pane. Check the "Enable Java" box, click OK then go back to the Quiz window and hit Reload.
If this does not work, you may need to update your version of Netscape (here) or download Sun's Java Plug-in (here).
AOL
You may need to download the latest version of the Microsoft VM. NB: Some browsers may require restarting to load up a new quiz.
I'm afraid I can't help much here. Use your browser's help facility to find out how to enable Java and do this if possible. If not, it may help to download the Java Plug-in for Windows here, or go here to find a Java Runtime Environment for your platform.
Otherwise I suggest you use the help or technical support provided by your browser to find out how to run Java applets. Or use a different browser!
