Comfort again gets involved as there is more violence in the family from last week - this time the daughter-in-law is badly injured by her husband, but unlike her mother-in-law, she decides to leave her husband and tell the police. Jane calls Simon from his work to deal with a client of hers, who turns out to be the husband of the hospital inspector. The inspector is grateful when the team save her husband's life. But Simon can't cope with Jane's job any longer - he tells her he loves her and asks her to give it up, but Jane tells him to leave.
