Tom joined the team as locum during Mike Barratt's absence. Athough things had changed since his days in A&E, he was not too proud to be told what the procedure was. Tom was good to SHO Karen Goodliffe, and helped her to become more human. He left Holby A&E later in the series when Mike returned.
