Following Jeff McGuire's death, Josh takes over his job temporarily, but he and Fin soon clash. Merlin finds a man has tried to commit suicide in his family's swimming pool. Selina finds a candidate for her drugs trial, and though the patient's relatives take some persuading, it is a success. Tony and Ben go out for a meal to celebrate moving in together, but Ben's ex turns up and reveals that he and Ben slept together the other night. Tony storms out, and outside he and Ben start fighting, but Tony is thrown against some railings and falls into the river, hitting a boat on the way. Ben rescues him but he is seriously injured...
