Jane's operation has left her paralysed, and she tells Simon she wants him to keep his promise to leave her. Charlie tells Duffy she and her boys can live in his house when she struggles to find a new home. Harry returns to work but finds it difficult dealing with a man who loses his wife. Josh begs Colette to let him be involved with the baby, even if they're not together; Colette goes home to talk to him.
Bex spots Jack hanging round the hospital and reports him to the police. The doctors tell Tony that Jack isn't a match and can't donate his kidney; when Jack hears the news he decides to go back to Ireland. But as he is trying to leave the hospital unseen, he sees Harry struggling with a young thug and goes to help. The police arrest him as well as the thug.
