The series began with a bomb in the local shopping centre. After a shooting in the department staff started to demand better security. However, when money was spent on the department it went on refurbishment instead. Tina's rape left Elliot regretting the decision when he found out the security cameras had not worked.
Just after Christmas there was a spectacular motorway pile-up. At the end of the series Charlie saved Baz when they were both taken hostage at gunpoint and proposed to her. Duffy, Megan, Ash and Mike all turned up for the wedding in the last two episodes and Amy, Tina, Sam and Sunny led the team in a rendition of "Everlasting Love".
