Kiran Joghill was a student nurse who appeared in series 3. She was great friends with fellow student nurse Alison McGrellis. Kiran and Alison were often to be seen giggling around the department like naughty schoolgirls. Kiran had a good bedside manner with patients and got on well with the staff, Cyril and Alison especially. In one episode Kiran's flat was burgled and she was late for work. This incurred Charlie's displeasure but he calmed down when he knew the reason. Then Cyril asked her and Alison to move in to his flat with him. They were a bit wary at first and Kiran feared her strict Asian parents would not approve.
