Summary

The series began with the department wondering whether Charlie would leave to go into management; but luckily he turned down the job offer he received.
An anti-racist march caused problems for Ash and Eddie when it clashed with an active racist group; the resultant fight meant the racists ended up in A&E being treated by Ash and Eddie. One thug, Hitchins, threatened Ash and was waiting for him at the end of his shift, ready to attack with a knife. Ash defended himself but ended up with Hitchins accusing him of GBH. He was eventually cleared when Matt stepped up on the witness stand, but Matt was later beaten with a baseball bat by Hitchins and the gang.
The end of the series saw Henry Turner come into the department asking to see Baz. He revealed he had a bomb on his back; the department was evacuated and it was discovered that he was trying to find out why his mother had died alone in a corridor. The police and Baz tried to negotiate with him but failed, resulting in a speactacular explosion of the hospital.
